In the Middle East we built and maintain the largest battlefield network ever deployed. Some of the technical challenges we faced were new even to Microsoft, but our engineers were able to devise solutions that work in the unique environments where we operate.
Not only do our teams have to overcome difficult technical issues to meet the voice and data needs of a highly mobile military, but the also face dust, lack of an electrical grid and extreme temperatures that are hard on equipment. Logistical support is also critical to making sure remote locations are supplied with the equipment and repair supplies they need to achieve outstanding reliability.
