COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Feb. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Vectrus Systems Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vectrus, Inc. (NYSE: VEC), announced the win of a new $108 million U.S. Army contract to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services associated with the Kuwait Dining Facilities (DFAC 3.0) mission. The contract is a hybrid cost-plus-fixed-fee with performance-based-incentive-fee and has a potential five year period of performance.
"We are exceptionally proud to have been selected by the Army to provide our warfighters with flexible, efficient, and cost effective food service support," said Chuck Prow, president and chief executive officer of Vectrus. "The DFAC 3.0 win is a great example of our strategy in action as it expands our base business, while further positioning Vectrus as a leading provider of facilities and logistics services to the DoD in the CENTCOM area of responsibility."
Under the contract, Vectrus will provide continuous operation of nine dining facility locations in Kuwait at Camp Arifjan, Camp Buehring, Kuwait Naval Base, Ali Al Salem Air Base, and Mubarak Air Base.
"Our team did a fantastic job developing a thoughtful, innovative, and cost-effective solution that provides our client with full service food operations 24-hours a day, 7 days a week," explained Prow. "Furthermore, this new work improves our overall revenue visibility in 2018 and should add over $20 million annually through February 2023."
